Senses, Sentences and Cents...so funny!

(China)When I was introducing our new topic on the 5 senses in my class in New Zealand I said we would be learning about the senses and asked if anyone knew what senses were. One student said they were words put together. ( We had been learning about sentences) "Those are sentences," I replied. "Here's a clue. There are 5 senses." Another student replied, "50 senses, 20 senses..." I still laugh about this today and am reminded every time someone mentions the senses.
